Futures on natural gas fell in price during US session

Natural gas futures prices fell during Thursday’s U.S. session. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, natural gas futures with delivery in May are trading at $2.02 per million Btu, down 6.22% at the time of writing this commentary.
The low point of the session was at $/mmBtu. At the time of writing, natural gas had found support at $1,993 and resistance at $2,241.
The USD index futures, which shows the ratio of the U.S. dollar to a basket of six major currencies, rose 0.04% to trade at $101.59.
As for other commodities traded on the NYMEX, May WTI crude oil futures rose 0.11% to settle at $80.52 a barrel and May fuel oil futures were down 2.40% to settle at $2.67 a gallon.
Earlier we reported that the EU would extend a voluntary 15 percent cut in gas consumption for a year.
