Has the price of electricity gone up in France? For the second day in a row, the average day-ahead price of electricity in some EU countries remains above 600 euros per megawatt hour. In France, it is close to 650 euros, having increased by 5.5% compared to the price the day before, according to the Nord Pool exchange.

At the same time, on August 22, for example, such a price was at the level of €558.23 in the Netherlands; €564.66 in Austria, and €571.34 in France.
According to data from the stock exchange, in Latvia and Lithuania, the average price of electricity exceeded 800 euros per kilowatt-hour on one day in August, and as of August 24 it was 582.40 euros.
The exchange’s website specifies that these are wholesale prices; they do not include taxes and fees applied at the national level.
