US diesel fuel prices

Diesel fuel stocks in the U.S. are more than 50% below the recent average. It writes the Associated Press agency regarding the report of federal officials. Will it affect US diesel fuel prices?

According to the publication, fuel stocks are below normal across the country for a variety of reasons, including the situation in Ukraine. But the worst situation is in the Northeastern United States.

According to a U.S. Department of Energy survey cited by the agency, diesel fuel is 63 percent below the five-year average in New England (a region in the northeastern United States) and 58 percent below the average from Maryland to New York.

According to the agency, national gasoline stocks are not as bad, but are still at their lowest level in nearly 10 years on the entire East Coast.

In May, Tim Stewart, president of the U.S. Petroleum and Gas Association, said the country was in its worst crisis of diesel fuel and energy in general in 50 years.

Earlier we reported that natural gas futures in Europe were trading at $3,100 per 1000 m3.
