France’s trade deficit narrowed to 12.15 billion EUR in October
France’s balance of trade deficit narrowed to 12.150 bln EUR in October from 17.167 bln EUR a month earlier, according to the country’s Customs Department. September’s foreign trade deficit was the highest on record since January 1970. This may have an impact on the quotation of EURO-BUND Futures.
The volume of French foreign trade in October fell by 8.3% compared to September, to 63.595 bln EUR; exports decreased by 1.4% to 51.445 bln. In annual terms, imports rose by 23.2%, exports – by 17.7%.
In January-October France’s foreign trade deficit grew by 2.1 times compared to 2021 and amounted to 132.2 bln EUR.
