The American company Apple is creating its first Apple notebook mit a touchscreen. It is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources in the company.
According to them, Apple engineers are actively working on this project, which, as Bloomberg points out, demonstrates the company’s serious attitude towards the new product. At the same time, “the final decision on the implementation of the innovation has not yet been made, and plans are subject to change,” the report said.
Why doesn’t Apple have a touchscreen laptop
Why doesn’t Apple have a touchscreen laptop? The company has long rejected the idea of installing touch-screen displays on its laptops. According to company founder Steve Jobs, such a decision was “terrible from the ergonomic point of view”. Apple was also concerned that equipping laptops with touch screens could reduce sales of iPad tablets.
It is noted that Apple could present its first notebook with a touch screen display in 2025. Also, Apple plans to launch production of its own screens for mobile devices and start using them in 2024.
