The biggest Asian stock markets are not exhibiting a unified dynamic in trading today. According to analysts, some investors were encouraged by data on slowing inflation in the U.S. earlier than initially expected. But they warn that there remain a lot of factors that could again stimulate its acceleration, including geopolitical risks, writes MarketWatch.

“It’s too early to talk about inflation risks disappearing,” said Mizuho Bank expert Venkateswaran Lavania.

The U.S. stock market rallied last week on the back of U.S. consumer price statistics. Against this background, the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) will be less likely to continue its aggressive rate hike, market participants believe. Meanwhile, some analysts say the rally was unjustifiably strong.

Meanwhile, China’s easing of a series of harsh anti-crisis restrictions hitting the world’s second-largest economy is boosting optimism in markets.

• Japan’s Nikkei 225 Index was up 0.82%. The governor of the Bank of Japan, Haruhiko Kuroda reiterated his fear of a rapid weakening of the yen and promised to continue to work closely with the government.
• China’s Shanghai Composite index shed 0.17%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 1.61%.
• South Korea’s Kospi index fell 0.35%.
• Australian S&P/ASX 200 index declined 0.16%.
