More than 1.2 million tons of grain and other food products have been exported from Ukraine within the framework of the food deal ratified in Istanbul. This is reported by the UN. How much wheat does Ukraine produce today?

“The Joint Coordination Center authorized the departure of six ships carrying a total of 121,451 tons of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative,” the UN said.

What crops are grown in Ukraine?

Organization specified that vessels Seajoy with 64 215 tons of corn, and Michalis, with 33 thousand tons of maize, went to Spain, Simas, with 15 thousand tons of wheat; and Lady Zehma, with 3 thousand tons of maize, went to Italy.

Moreover, two vessels Saffet Aga and Afanasiy Matyushenko will supply 3.2 thousand tons of corn and 3 thousand tons of wheat to Turkey. The vessel Karteria with 37.5 thousand tons of wheat, bought by the World Food Programme, will go there too.

“As of August 29, the total tonnage of grain and other food products exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 1,289,065 tons,” the UN said, adding that “a total of 122 vessels – 67 arriving in Ukrainian ports and 55 departing from them – have so far been allowed to move.”
