Net profit of the owner of Zara in the first half of the fiscal year rose by 44%, to 2.4 billion euros. What is Zara’s strategy?
How much profit does Zara make? Net profit of Spanish Inditex Group, one of the world’s largest clothing and footwear retailers (brands Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho) in the first half of fiscal year (February 1 – July 31) was 2.431 billion euros, up 44% compared with a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
The company’s revenues rose 24 percent to 14.845 billion euros in the reporting period. Diluted earnings per share amounted to 0.576 euros in the first half of the year after 0.408 euros a year earlier.
EBITDA for the half year reached €4,029 billion, up 30% from February-July 2021-2022. The number of stores worldwide decreased 4% to 6.37 thousand. What is Zara’s strategy? The company expects online sales to grow by 30% in 2024.
Inditex Corporation was founded in 1985. In addition to Zara and Bershka, the company also owns Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius and Oysho.
